HEARING OFFICER ORDER
A telephonic status conference was held on June 10, 2004. Complainant did not appear
due to a conflict. Respondent represented that the parties are very close to settling this matter
and that complainant is at present reviewing some revised settlement language in the stipulation
and proposal for settlement (stipulation). To that end, respondent made an oral motion for an
extension of time to answer the complaint. Respondent’s motion is granted. Respondent’s
answer is now due on or before August 20, 2004.
The parties or their legal representatives are directed to participate in a telephonic status
conference with the hearing officer on August 5, 2004, at 9:30 a.m. The telephonic status
conference must be initiated by the complainant, but each party is nonetheless responsible for its
own appearance. At the status conference, the parties must be prepared to discuss the status of
the above-captioned matter and their readiness for hearing. If, however, a stipulation is filed
prior to the next status conference, the conference will be cancelled without further order.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
