HEARING OFFICER ORDER
On March 25, 2004, all parties participated in a telephonic status conference with the
hearing officer. The parties represented that they continue to exchange settlement offers and that
settlement discussions continue. The complainant is also reviewing a supplemental
environmental project that may or may not be approved as part of the settlement. Respondent
made an oral motion for an extension of time to answer or otherwise plead. Complainant has no
objection. Respondent’s motion is granted. Respondent’s answer or other pleading is now due
on or before June 3, 2004.
The parties or their legal representatives are directed to participate in a telephonic status
conference call with the hearing officer on May 20, 2004, at 11:15 a.m. The status conference
must be initiated by the petitioner, but each party is nonetheless responsible for its own
appearance. At the status conference, the parties must be prepared to discuss the status of the
above-captioned matter and their readiness for hearing.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
