Re:
Recommendation of Tax Certification
Log # TC-01-06-25
Property Identification # 07-02-27-300-008
Dear
Ms.
Gunn:
This Agency received a request on June 25, 2001 from Prairie
Material
Sales for an
Illinois EPA
recommendation regarding the tax certification of air pollution control facilities pursuant to 35
Il.
Adm. Code 125.204.
We offer the following
recommendation.
The air pollution control facilities in this request include the following:
Baghouse whose primary purpose
is to
remove
dust particles from a dust laden air
stream to
prevent release of particulate emissions.
Collection
efficiency is
rated at
99.95.
These facilities
are further described
in the enclosed
applications and
supporting
documents.
Based on the information
included
in this submittal, it is our engineering judgment that the
proposed facilities may be considered
“Pollution Control
Facilities” under 35
IAC
125.200(a),
with the primary purpose of eliminating, preventing, or reducing air pollution, or as otherwise
provided
in this section, and therefore eligible for tax certification from the Illinois Pollution
Control Board.
The Illinois EPA therefore recommends that the Board issue the requested tax
certification for these facilities.
Sincerely,
Donald
