RE: Rochelle Waste Disposal, L.L.C.
vs.
City Council of the City ofRoch.elle, IL
Case # PCB 03-188 and PCB 03-218
Dear IPCB Members,
The Rochelle City Council (acting as siting authority), the Rochelle residents
and the residents of the surrounding communities have voiced their strong
opposition to any expansion of the Rochelle landfill. The Rochelle City
Council made a decision based on evidence. Their decision was correct.
It simply does not make sense to create a mega dump over a major aquifer,
between two communities, bordering on the homes of residents. For many
reasons it is wrong to expand the dump in the existing location. Please
uphold the decision made by the Rochelle City Council.to deny the
expansion.
Sincerely,
(-~1
