ORDER OF THE BOARD (by R.C. Flemal):
This matter comes before the Board upon a motion for time to comply and for other
relief. The motion was filed on January 5, 1998 by respondent Interconnect Corporation
(EIC). Complainant Gordon Krautsack filed a response on January 13, 1998.
EIC requests an extension of 120 days to complete the remediation ordered by the
Board in its August 21, 1997, order in this matter. Pursuant to that order the required
remediation was to be completed by December 31, 1997. EIC further requests that the Board
refrain from entering sanctions in this matter for noncompliance to date. EIC admits that it
has not begun to remediate the site in question, but contends that this failure is inadvertent and
    not willful. Motion at 2.
Complainant observes that he will not object to an extension. Response at 2.
Complainant does request that any extension be final and to no later than April 23, 1998, 100
days after complainant’s response. Response at 2.
Respondent EIC is hereby granted an extension of time April 23, 1998 to comply with
the Board’s August 21, 1997, order. The Board will impose no sanctions at this time.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.

    2
I, Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control Board, hereby certify that
the above order was adopted on the 22nd day of January 1998, by a vote of 7-0.
    Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk
    Illinois Pollution Control Board
