ORDER OF THE BOARD (by C.A. Manning):
On December 5, 1997, the complainant and respondent Old World Industries, Inc. (Old
World) filed an agreed motion to extend the stay of proceedings in this matter. The parties
request that the Board stay all proceedings in this matter for an additional 90 days to allow
them to gather and exchange information regarding Old World’s past disposal of waste at the
site in question. The parties believe that the exchange of information will aid in the settlement
of this matter. The Board hereby grants the parties’ motion and stays the proceedings in this
matter up through and including March 18, 1998. The Board notes, however, that it has
previously granted the parties several stays in this matter and therefore encourages the parties
to settle this matter as expeditiously as possible or proceed to hearing.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
I, Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control Board, hereby certify that
the above order was adopted on the 18th day of December 1997, by a vote of 7-0.
    Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk
    Illinois Pollution Control Board
