    ORDER OF
    THE BOARD
    (by E.
    Dunham):
    On June 3,
    1996,
    Spraying Systems Company (SSC)
    and the Illinois Environmental
    Protection Agency
    (Agency)
    filed a Joint
    Status Report.
This matter involves an appeal of special conditions imposed by the Agency
    in its
    October 4,
1990 approval of SSC’s RCRA Closure
    Plan.
    In the course of settlement,
    SSC has
submitted a proposed RCRA Closure Work Plan.
    The Agency
    has approved a revised work
    plan and SSC
has completed the activities of the revised work plan.
    The parties state that they
have reached a tentative agreement as to
    the remaining issues relating
    to the revised cleanup
objectives and the Agency has prepared a draft revised RCRA Closure Plan approval letter.
    SSC
    and the Agency
    met
to discuss the revised approval letter.
    On March 20,
    1996,
    the
Agency submitted a proposal to SSC
intended to allow for overall resolution of the appeal.
    The Agency revised this proposal
    on May 30,
    1996.
SSC is reviewing the revised proposal.
The parties anticipate that a settlement in this matter will resolve the issues on appeal.
    SSC
has also provided a waiver of the decision deadline until January
    31,
    1997.
The parties are ordered to file status reports (or a joint status
    report)
    with the Board on
    or before September 30,
    1996.
