On July 24,2000, Cheryl Kelley conducted a site visit to a Prior Oil Company 3 barrel crude oil
spill in Wamac, IEMA# 20001370.
•
The spill was reported as
1
1/2
bbl.
The oily straw was still in Fulton Creek.
•
There was a little crude oil in Fulton Creek.
•
This inspector tried to contact John Prior who was not available since the inspection.
•
On July 28, 2000, this inspector spoke to John Prior and all the crude oil and oily straw
were removed from Fulton Creek on July 26, 2000.
The movable single test tank was
removed from the spill location.
The oily straw was removed from the spill location and
new straw was placed there to absorb additional
oil.
Mr. Prior will till up the
contaminated soil within the next week and apply fertilizer to it.
