RE: Docket R033 Site Specific Noise Rule Revision for 35 111. Adm. Code 901.118

Scot Forge Company requests that the site specific noise rule contained in 35 111 Adm.

Code 901.118 be revised as follows:

“Section 901.118

Scot Forge Company

Franidin Park Division

Scot Forge and future owners of the forging facility located at 9394 W. Belmont Avenue,

Franklin Park, Illinois, shall comply with the following site-specific operational level:

a)

Operate no more than six forging hammers at any one time; and

b)

Operate its forging hammers only between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and

11:00p.m. Monday through Saturday.”

Scot Forge purchased the Helistrom Corporation (a drop hammer forging company)

located at 9394 W. BelmontAvenue in Franidin Park, IL in 1992 and consolidated the

Cicero Plant operations described in the current version of Ill. 35 Adm. Code 901.118 to

Franklin Park in 1993. Once consolidation was complete, the Cicero Plant was shutdown

and the property was sold.
