ORDER OF THE BOARD (by C.A. Manning):
On October 14, 1997, the complainant and respondent Old World Industries, Inc. (Old
World) filed an agreed motion to extend the stay of proceedings in this matter. The parties
request that the Board stay all proceedings in this matter for an additional 60 days to allow
them to exchange information regarding Old World’s past disposal of waste at the site at issue.
The parties believe that the exchange of this information will aid in the settlement of this
matter. The Board has previously granted a stay in this matter until October 14, 1997, to
allow the parties to engage in settlement discussions. See People v. Old World Industries, Inc.
(August 21, 1997), PCB 97-168. The Board hereby grants the parties’ motion and stays the
proceedings in this matter up through and including December 15, 1997.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
I, Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control Board, hereby certify that
the above order was adopted on the 16th day of October 1997, by a vote of 7-0.
    Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk
