PROTECTION AGENCY
Supplemental Opinion and Order
of
the
Board (by
Mr.
Currie)
On October 14,
1971, we granted
a variance setting
a May 12, 1972 date for completion of petitioner~s program of
foundry particulate control, The
company filed its bond,
ordered the equipment,
and received a permit for the installation,
all
in due time. Delays
in equ~pment delivery, including a
strike at a supplier contractor, have made it impossible to
meet the May 12 date. The Agency joins in the plea that we
extend the compliance date to July 12, 1972, pointing out
that
the company has done everything in its power to expedite
delivery.
The May
12,
1972 date for compliance and for forfeiture
of the bond is hereby extended to July 12, 1972.
