OPINION AND ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by Mr. Dumelle)
The petition was filed on February 21,
    1973 with the Agency
    to extend
a variance granted in PCB 71-392 on March
    28, 1972
which permitted the use of an air curtain destructor
    to burn crafting
and building lumber and landscape waste near South Beloit.
    The Agency’s recommendation filed March
    20, 1973 recommends
the grant of the variance with which we agree.
    The Agency states
that no adverse comments have been received from the public and
that slight visual emissions appear only when new material
    is
    charged into the destructor.
    The nearest residence
    is more than
1000 feet away and the occupant had no objection to the burning.
    Since Nickel Bros.
    Tree Service
    is
    eligible to obtain
    a
    permit from the Agency
    to burn landscape wastes
    in an air curtain
destructor the variance will be just to allow the burning of
building and crating material free of asphalt subject to the
    following conditions.
    ORDER
    1.
The variance shall run until March
    28,
    1974,
    and
    will allow
the burning of building and crating material free of asphalt
    in the air curtain destructor.
    2.
Application for an extension of this variance shall be made
    at
least 90 days prior to the expiration date.
    3.
    Within
    30 days of this
    date,
    the petitioner shall submit
    a program to
    the Agency for alleviating leaks
    around access
    doors
    to the destructor.
    4.
    Petitioner shall load
the air curtain destructor in a
    manner to alleviate emissions.
