INTERIM ORDER OF
THE
BOARD
(by
Mr.
Dumelle)
Petition filed September
19, 1973
is
inadequate under the
Board’s Procedural Rules.
Petitioner does not state
a Rule from
which
variance
is requested.
Furthermore,
the strength of the
effluent is not given nor are any downstream water quality para-
meters listed to substantiate
the allegation that the present
sewage treatment facility “has been in no
way
harmful to public
interest.”
The present treatment plant
is not described and no reasons
are given
as
to why chemical treatment and/or tube settlers or
other system improvement techniques
cannot be used now to meet
the standards.
A hearing will be held.
Petitioner
is directed to file
an amended petition remedying the deficiencies discussed above
within
35 days from date of this order.
Failure
to amend
in
a
timely fashion may make the petition liable
to dismissal for
inadequacy.
I,
Christan L. Moffett, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution
Control Board, hereby certify the above Order was adopted on the
