    ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by Mr. Henss)
    It is
    the order of the Pollution Control Board that:
    Petitioner Union Carbide Corporation be granted variance
    from Rules 103(b) (2),
    103(b) (6) (E)
    ,
    104, and 203(a)
    of
    the Illinois Air Pollution Control Regulations until
    December 20,
    1974,
    for the purpose of installing control
    equipment which will ultimately bring Petitioner into
    compliance with the 23.72 lb./hr.
    particulate emission
    standard of Rule 203(a)
    .
    This variance is granted on
    condition that:
    1)
    Petitioner shall file
    a Compliance Plan and
    Project Completion Schedule with this Board
    and the Illinois Envitonmental Protection
    Agency by January 31,
    1974 which shall assure
    Petitionerts compliance with the particulate
    standard of Rule
    203(a) by June
    1,
    1975.
    2)
    Petitioner shall by January
    31,
    1974 post
    a
    bond in the amount of $150,000 in
    a form
    acceptable
    to the Environmental Protection
    Agency, such bond to be forfeited in the event
    Petitioner fails to meet the construction deadlines
    of the Compliance Plan and Project Completion
    Schedule.
    The bond shall be mailed to:
    Fiscal
    Services Division, Illinois EPA,
    2200 Churchill
    Road,
    Springfield,
    Illinois 62706.
