ILLINOIS POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD
    May 9, 1974
    RIDGEVIEW DEVELOPMENT COMPANY,
    Petitioner,
    v.
    )
    PCB 74—90
    ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY,)
    Respondent.
ORDER OF THE BOARD (by Dr. Odell)
Ridgeview Development Company filed a Petition for
Variance on March 12, 1974, seeking to connect fifteen homes
to the sewage system operatedby the City of Monticello. The
City of Monticello had a sewer ban in effect at the time of
filing the petition. On March 28, seven citizens submitted a
petition opposing the grant of a variance. The Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) filed its Recommendation on April 19,
1974. It recommended that the petition be dismissed as moot,
because on April 2, 1974, the EPA issued Permit #1974—HB—539-OP
allowing connection of the affected lots to the sewage system
operated by the City of Monticello. On~May 6 Petitioner moved
to withdraw its Petition for Variance.
Motion to withdraw the Variance Petition of Ridgeview
Development Company is granted, because the petition is now moot
in light of the April 2 action of the EPA.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
I, Christan L. Moffett, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
Board, hereby certify that the above Order was adopted on the
