    (by Mr. Dumelle):
    The Board hereby extends
    the
    variance granted by the
    Boardts October 4,
    1973 Order (Commonwealth Edison Company v.
    EPA, PCB 73-40),
    as amended November 29,
    1973 be extended
    until June 4,
    1974 for the Waukegan Station.
    The Board hereby
    extends
    the variance granted
    to Commonwealth Edison Company
    for its Sabrooke Stations Unit
    1,
    2 and
    3 (Commonwealth Edison
    Company v.
    EPA, PCB 73-40) which was granted on October
    4,
    1973,
    amended on November
    29, 1973 and modified on December 20,
    1973.
    The applicable shutdown dates of Sabrooke Units
    2 and
    3
    is now
    June
    4,
    1974.
    The Board grants
    this interim variance because Edison
    is currently proceeding with
    a schedule of hearings on variances
    for five of
    its stations which include the Waukegan and Sabrooke
    Stations,
    (PCB 74-16).
    At the hearings
    on this variance request,
    Edison will present evidence relating to
    the Waukegan and Sabrooke
    Stations.
    This interim extension will enable the Board to make
    a reasoned decision on the basis of
    a complete record.
    Neither
    the Agency or the Attorney General expressed objection to the grant
    of this interim extension.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
