ORDER OF THE BOARD (by Mr. Dumelle):

A petition filed November 13, 1974 asks leave to intervene on behalf

of Save Our Resources and Environment, Inc. (“S.O.R.E.”). A response by

CPC International, Inc. filed November 19, 1974 asks that it be denied

because it was not timely filed.

We deny the petition for intervention. The petition was filed

September 19, 1974 and must be decided by the Board at its December 5, 1974

meeting. Thus, even were intervention to be granted, little time would

remain for it to be useful. No public hearing is scheduled. The

petitioners, S.O.R.E., are encouraged to file whatever materials they

wish to bring to the Board’s attention as soon as possible with simultaneous

service upon the Agency and the petitioner.

The petition is denied.
