    ORDER OF THE BOARD

    On September .27,
    1974,
    the Board entered its final Order in the
    above—captioned matter, concerning Edison’s Waukegan and Sabrooke
    plants.
    On October 18, 1974, Edison filed its Motion for Modifica-
    tion of September 27,
    1974, Order, requesting the Board to change
    certain of the operating conditions of that Variance Order.
    The
    Board
    finds
    the
    request
    of
    Edison
    to
    operate
    Waukegan
    Units
    6
    and
    7
    at the same minimum load as allowed in our Order in PCB 73-40
    is reas-
    onable, and will be granted.
    These minimum loads
    are necessary to
    prevent damage to the station’s equipment and stacks.
    Edison’s other
    requests for modification of the Order are denied.
    The problems re-
    lating to the SO3 injection system and the monitoring reports are
    based on allegations that were not brought out at hearing and subject
    to examination by the other parties.
    The post-Order motion process
    is not to be used to cure defects in
    a party’s case.
    Information as
    to these problems should appear in the record.
    These requests do
    not appear to be based on any new information that became known to
    Edison after the final Order was entered.
    The information contained in this Motion shall be used in consid-
    ering the final Order in PCB 74-16.
    IT
    IS THE ORDER of the Pollution Control Board that:
    1)
    Condition
    4
    (C)
    relating to the Waukegan plant is amended
    as follows:
    Waukegan Unit
    *6 shall be operated above its minimum load
    of 24 megawatts
    (the amount needed to be maintained to pre-
    vent damage to equipment), only after all available Edison
    capacity has been utilized (including Waukegan Unit
    *8) but
    before Powerton Units
    1 to 4, Sabrooke 1 and 2, Waukegan 7
    above 153 megawatts, and Edison’s fast start peakers
    are
    utilized.
    2)
    Condition
    4
    (E), relating to the Waukegan Station,
    is amended
    to read as follows:
    Waukegan Unit
    7 shall be operated above its minimum load

    of 153 megawatts
    (the amount needed to be maintained
    to prevent damage to equipment), only after all avail-
    able Edison capacity has been utilized, including Wau-
    kegan
    8, Waukegan 6 above 24 megawatts, Sabrooke 1 and
    2, but before Powerton units
    1 to 4 and Edison’s fast
    start peakers are utilized.
    3)
    Motion to change the reporting dates
    as relating to
    the
    SO3 injection system on Unit
    8 and the air quality mon-
    itoring network are hereby denied.
