    ORDER
OF THE BOARD (by Mr. Seaman):
The Opinion and Order in the captioned cause, dated September 19, 1974,
is hereby modified to extend the variance granted for the Robert Taylor
    Homes
    from
October 26, 1974 to February 26, 1975. The Chicago Housing
Authority states that although compactor facilities at Robert Taylor
Homes are being constructed, the contractor has been hindered in this
project by acts of vandalism, tenant opposition, material shortages,
and the failure of the concrete subcontractor to complete his portion
of the work due to vandalism and tenant difficulties.
The Chicago Housing Authority further states that through an
oversight, a contract was not let for the refuse disposal system at
5040 N. Kenmore and thus work is not underway on that project at this
time nor can a completion date be anticipated. To meet the goal of
eliminating air pollution by incineration of solid waste at this site,
the Chicago Housing Authority states that it will immediately cease the
burning of refuse at 5040 N. Kenniore and have refuse hauled away by
    private scavenger.
The Chicago Housing Authority is hereby ordered to cease incineration
of solid waste at 5040 N. Kenmore.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
I, Christan L. Moffett, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
Board, does hereby certify t at the above Order was adopted on this
