ILLINOIS POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD
February 17,
1977
IN THE MATTER OF
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS
TO
)
R 77-
SULFUR DIOXIDE EMISSION
REGULATIONS
ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by Mr. Goodman):
On February
9,
1977,
the Illinois Manufacturers’
Association
(IMA)
filed a proposed amendment to Rule 204 of the Board’s Air
Pollution Regulations which
limits SO2 emissions.
The Board currently
has before it several proceedings,
including R 71—23,
R 74—2,
R 75—5,
and R 76-9, which concern the sulfur dioxide emission limitations.
The Board finds that yet another regulatory proposal would only
serve to accentuate
the existing uncertainty
as to the status of the
SO2 regulations.
Therefore,
the Board rejects
IMA’s February
9 peti—
tion as duplicitous of matters currently before the Board.
I,
Christan
L. Moffett,
Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
Board, hereby certify the above Order was adopted on the
