    CITY OF MARION,
    Petitioner,
    v.
    )
    PCB 75—220
    ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY,
    )
    Respondent.
    ORDER OF THE BOARD (by Mr. Dumelle):
    Petition filed May 27, 1975 is inadequate in that no
    statement is given as to the effects, if any, upon Crab
    Orchard Lake, if the requested variance is granted. The
    Board would wish to know, as a minimum, whether or not
    algae blooms occur upon Crab Orchard Lake; the type or
    types of algae; the severity of the blooms; and their effect
    upon the dissolved oxygen and benthic organisms of the Lake.
    Furthermore, the alternative of discharging to the
    Saline Watershed is not estimated as to its cost.
    Petitioner shall amend its Petition within 45 days to
    provide the information indicated above. Failure to timely
    file the needed information shall make the petition liable
    to dismissal for inadequacy. The 90-day decision period set
    by statute shall run from the date of filing the amended
    petition.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.

    Control Board hereby certify the above Order was adopted on
