On February
10,
1977,
Interlake,
Inc.,
submitted a Petition for
Variance from Rules
104,
202(b),
203(d) (2),
and 206(d)
of Chapter
2
as they apply to Petitioner’s sinter plant operations
in Chicago,
Illinois.
Rule 401(b) of the Board’s Procedural Rules requires that
variance petitions include an estimate of the quantity of contaminant9
discharged and a detailed description and timetable of the program to
be undertaken to achieve compliance.
Interlake has not provided the
Board with information on the amount of particulates and carbon mono-
xide
it emits.
Furthermore, Interlake has submitted no compliance
plan for reducing its particulate and carbon monoxide emissions to
the required levels.
In both respects Interlake’s petition is defi-
cient.
Interlake shall amend its petition within
35 days of the date of
this
