    INTERIM ORDER OF THE BOARD

    These matters, constituting a Petition for Variance
    (PCB 76-117)
    and a Permit Appeal Petition
    (PCB 76-122), were both filed with the
    Board on April
    27,
    1976.
    Inasmuch as both are stated to relate to
    “the operation of a beef packing plant
    in rural Rock Island County
    about one-half mile from the Village of Joslin and in particular
    the operation of the inedible rendering facility
    .

    the Board
    on its own Motion consolidates the two cases and directs that they
    be set for hearing.
