INTERIM ORDER OF THE BOARD

On February
23,
1976,
the Environmental Protection Agency
(Agency) filed a Motion to Extend the Compliance Date in Rule
209(j)
of Chapter
8 to November 10,
1976.
On February 27,
1976,
the Associ—
ation for Motor Sports
(AMS)
filed a Motion to Extend Effective Date
of Noise Regulations.
On March 22,
1976, William Johnston,
et al.,
residents
in the vicinity of the Santa Fe Race Track, filed an Objec-
tion to the Motions of the Agency and AMS.
On March 31, 1976,
the
Agency filed a response to the Motion filed by AMS.
The Board hereby orders Petitioners, the Agency,
AMS,
and William
Johnston,
et al., to submit briefs to the Board before May 20,
1976
on the proposed motions.
The briefs shall include a discussion of
the Board’s authority to grant the proposed Motions, particularly
in light of Sections 27 and
28 of the Environmental Protection Act.
Mr. Zeitlin abstained.
