ILLIN’)IS POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD
August
4,
1977
IN
THE
MATTER OF
PROPOSED
INDIRECT
(COMPLEX)
SOURCE
REGULATIONS
R
73—9
ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by Mr. Dumelle):
On July 10,
1975 the Board postponed indefinitely any
further proceedings in this matter.
During the intervening
24 months, Federal involvement in this area has been withdrawn;
and the only state
which
had similar regulations
(Connecticut)
has announced its intention to withdraw them as well.
These proceedings were tabled before economic impact studies
were required.
The information contained
in the record would not
be valuable without scheduling new hearings to bring it up to date.
Consequently the Board finds that this matter should be dismissed
and all proceedings terminated,
If this subject is ever reintroduced, for regulatory
consideration, portions of the present record may be incorporated
into the future record if
the need arises.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
