On December

1977 Petitioner requested a variance from
Sections
12(a)
and 12(e)
of the Act and Rule 602 of Chapter
3:
Water Pollution of the Board~sRules and Regulations.
The
petition is inadequate
in several respects.
First,
it appears
to request permanent relief which is beyond the Board’s authority
in variance cases.
Second,
it. does not comply with Procedural
Rule 401(a) which describes the necessary contents of a variance
petition.
Third,
it fails to
specifically request or waive a
hearing as required by Procedural Rule 401(b).
Consequently
this matter
is hereby dismissed without prejudice.
