    PUBLIC COMMENT OF BRIIME
    KNIERIM
Myname is Bridie Knierim. I am a resident ofEffingham County,
    illinois. Since
    November
1, 2002, I have been living in a residence located directlyacross the street from the
proposed Sutter Sanitation Transfer Facility. I lease that residence from Mr.
    Lloyd Stock.
It is my understanding that garbage trucks have already been coming in and out ofthe
site. This causes me concern. I am very concerned that this proposed transfer station is to be
located so close to my home (which is less than 200 yards from the proposed site). I am also
concerned with the impact that the proposed transfer station would have-upon all residences in
the area and our quality oflife.
I was disappointed. that the County Board did not even make available to people the
    comments
from the hearing that was held in the summer to discuss Sutter’s application, before it
decided to give the okay for the waste transfer station.
That does not seem right to
    me and just
makes me feel more strongly that what happened was that this thing got pushed through by some
people in other parts of the county outside of.Mason township for some other political reason.
    Dated: 02January03
    Respectfully submitted,
    Bridie Knierim ~
