On February 24,

1978 Petitioner requested a variance

from the drinking water standard for Fluoride.

The Petition

is insufficient for the following reasons.

First,

it fails

to provide a detailed description of the method by which

Petitioner proposes

to comply with the Act and Regulations

as required by Procedural Rule 401(a) (6).

Second,

it fails

to specifically request or waive a hearing as required

by Procedural Rule 401(b).

If these inadequacies are not

corrected within 45 days of the date of this Order, this

matter will be subject to dismissal.
