ORDER OF THE BOARD (by E.Z. Kezelis):
On September 24, 1999, the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Company (Burlington
Northern) filed a petition for review of an Illinois Environmental Protection Agency final determination.
In an October 7, 1999 order, the Board found that the Attorney Act (705 ILCS 205/1
    et seq
    . (1998))
and the Corporation Practice of Law Prohibition Act (705 ILCS 220/1
    et seq
    . (1998)) prohibit
Burlington Northern from proceeding with this action without an attorney. Accordingly, the Board
ordered Burlington Northern to obtain legal counsel and file an amended petition for review within 30
days of the Board’s order. Failure to comply with the October 7, 1999 order would subject Burlington
    Northern’s petition to dismissal.
The time period provided to Burlington Northern has expired and no additional filings have been
received. Therefore, pursuant to the October 7, 1999 order, this appeal is dismissed and the docket
    closed.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
I, Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control Board, hereby certify that the above
order was adopted on the 18th day of November 1999 by a vote of 6-0.
    Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk
    Illinois Pollution Control Board
