    ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by Mr.
    Goodman):
    On March
    9,
    1978,
    Central Illinois Public Service Company
    (CIPS)
filed a Petition for Variance from Rules
    203(i) (1—4)
    of
    Chapter
    3:
    Water Pollution,
    so that heated condenser cooling
water may continue to be discharged until a final rule change
pursuant to Rule 203(i) (10) of Chapter
3 could be adopted by the
    Board.
    In an earlier action today,
    the Board decided PCB 77-158,
    CIPS’
presentation for alternative thermal standards for Coffeen
Lake pursuant to Rule 203(i) (10).
    Although the Board
    in that pro-
ceeding did not grant CIPS’ Petition for alternate thermal stand-
    ards for Coffeen Lake,
it did grant the proposed standard as an
interim limitation for a period of three years.
    The Board finds
therefore that the relief requested by CIPS in this proceeding
has been granted in PCB 77-158 and hereby dismisses the Petition
    in PCB 78-63 as moot.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
    I,
Christan L. Moffett, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution
Control Board, hereby certify the above Order wa~adopted on
    the ~1~’
