ORDER OF THE BOARD (by Mr. Goodman):
Central
Illinois Public Service Company (CIPS), in a “Motion
For Additional Time For Accepting Variance,” has requested the
Board grant an additional 90 days in which to accept the condi-
tions of a variance granted April 27, 1978 in PCB 77-221. Alter-
natively, CIPS tenders its certification of acceptance
and
agree-
ment of the Board’s Order of April 27, 1978. The Illinois EPA,
through the Attorney General, urges the Board to deny the motion.
In essence, CIPS is saying that it wants, or might want in
the future, a variance with different conditions than those
contained in the Board’s Order of April 27, 1978. This does not
support the request for additional time to accept this variance.
Ab~ent any otherS reasons for-the requested delay, the Board finds
the motion for additional time to be without merit, and it is
denied. The Board will accept
the Certification of Acceptance
and Agreement.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
