ORDER OF THE BOARD

The adoption by the Board of a new Part X:

Emission

Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants

to Chapter 2 of the

Board’s Rules and Regulations,

supersedes the applicability

of the existing Chapter

2,

Part VI, regulations

for asbestos.

Sec.

9.1 of the Environmental Protection Act recently

added by Public Act 80-1298 recuires that Board rules he

in

substance identical ~iiththe national emission standards for

hazardous air pollutants.

Accordingly, no point is served by further amendments

to Part VI of Chapter

2;

the new Part X covers the subject

matter proposed and the amendments proposed herein unnecessary.

This proceeding

is hereby ordered dismissed.
