The Board hereby amends the definitions of “disaster”

and “disaster area” in Rule 501 of the Air Pollution Control

Regulations to read as follows:

“(1) Disaster:

A major disaster declared by the President

of

the

United

States

or

the

Governor

of

Illinois.

(j)

Disaster area:

Area

in which a major disaster has

been declared by the President of the United

States or the Governor of Illinois.”

The Board hereby adopts its Proposed Opinion dated

October 18, 1979

as its Opinion in this proceeding.
