ILLINOIS ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
AGENCY,
ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by J.D. Dumelle):
On May
4,
1981 Texaco,
Inc.
filed a petition for variance
extension from Rule 406 of Chapter
3:
Water Pollution, regarding
the ammonia nitrogen limitation.
Since the ammonia nitrogen discharged near Lockport
affects the dissolved oxygen level most greatly in the area
of the LaGrange Pool on the Illinois River,
current data on
the dissolved oxygen levels
in that area should have been
included in the petition.
Unless that deficiency is cured by the filing of an
amended petition within
45 days of the date of this Order,
the petition will be subject to dismissal.
IT
IS SO ORDERED.
I, Christan L. Moffett,
Clerk of the Illinois Pollution
Control Board, hereby certify that the above Order was adopted
