ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by D.
Satchell),:
On April
9,
1981 Travenol Laboratories, Inc.
(Travenol)
filed a motion for modification of the Board’s Order of March
5, 1981 which granted a variance from Rule 702 of Chapter
3
concerning mercury discharges to sewers.
The motion requests,
among other things, modification of the variance to require
monitoring on the basis of “time weighted composites” and to
judge compliance on the basis of an annual average of these
composites.
The petition
and
recommendation did not address
monitoring and averaging in detail.
The Board asks that
Travenol provide within fourteen days of the date of this Order,
further information on the meaning of “time weighted composite.”
The Board will withhold ruling on the motion pending receipt
of this information.
Travenol’s request for
a hearing on the
motion is denied.
IT IS SO
ORDERED.
