ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by J.D. Dumelle):
On November
1,
1979,
the Board ordered Highland Hills
Sanitary District
(HHSD)
to cease and desist from further
violations of Rules
601(a) and 602(b)
of Chapter
3:
Water
Pollution.
HHSD was also ordered to submit a compliance plan
to reduce excess infiltration into the system.
On November 26,
1980,
HHSD submitted a second revised compliance plan,
and on
February
25, 1981 the Agency certified the issuance of a federal
Step
1 facilities planning grant for the preparation of
a
limited sewer system evaluation survey
(SSES).
The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency has found
the compliance plan acceptable, and the Board concurs.
It is
therefore ordered that HHSD proceed in an expeditious manner to
prepare the SSES in accordance with all of the terms
of the grant
and the approved compliance program and to timely take all other
necessary pre—grant and post—grant actions.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
