ORDER OF THE BOARD (by I.

G. Goodman):

On November 29,

1982 a joint motion was filed requesting

a stay in this proceeding pending issuance of a new NPDES permit

to Outboard Marine Corporation

(OMC) by the Illinois Environ-

mental Protection Agency (Agency).

On October 14,

1982 the Board

ordered that hearing on this permit appeal be held within sixty

days of that Order~sdate,

Hearing was scheduled and noticed for

December

1,

1982.

Now, the parties seek to stay the proceeding,

but provide no time frame

for concluding this matter.

Since it is the intent of the parties that during the stay

a notice of the pending new NPDES permit will be published, and

that the permit will subsequently he issued,

the Board will grant

time sufficient for this

to occur,

Stay is granted until

February 28,

1983.
