Maple Lawn Homes

(MPL) has requested expedited consideration

of this petition, filed March 14 as amended April

5,

1983.

The

Agency filed its Recommendation in support of grant of variance

with conditions on May

2,

1983.

Neither the petition nor the Recommendation specificaliy

advise the Board a)

when “in the fall” MPL would anticipate the

additional housing units

to be ready for occupancy based on a

May construction start,

and b) when Eureka’s Phase A sewage

treatment plant

(STP)

expansion work and the subsequent flow

monitoring study are anticipated to be completed, based on a

“summer,

1983” construction start

(Rec.

p.

5), and c) when,

assuming Phase B STP work

is concluded to be necessary, design

and construction would be projected to be completed, based on

the Agency’s projection that design work could begin in November,

1983

(Rec.

p.

5),

and Petitioners’ assertion that construction

would begin in summer,

1984

(Pet.

p.

3—4).

Petitioners are requested to

file

an amendment to their

petition (supported by affidavit)

supplying this information.

The Board will expedite its decision

in this matter,

currently

due for decision June

30,

1983, upon receipt of the requested

information.

Petitioners would

•be advised to submit their

amendment on or before May 13,

1983 if they wish this petition

to be considered by the Board at its May 19,

1983 meeting.
