On August 30, 1982 the Joliet
Army
Ammunition Plant
(JAAP) filed a pet~.tionseeking “expansion of the allow-
able materials to be burned” under Rule 504(a) (4) of Chapter
2:
Air Pollution.
In order to obtain that relief, variance
is more properly requested from Rule 502(a) of Chapter
2.
Further, hearing is neither waived nor requested pursuant
to Section 104.124 of the Procedural Rules
(old Rule 401(b).
Finally, more information,
if possible, should be submitted
regarding costs and environmental impact:
e.g. the cost of
landfilling and the attendant harm and any specifications
which the air curtain destructor is designed to meet.
Unless JAAP files
an amended petition within 45 days of
the date of this Order curing the above—noted defects, this
petition will be subject to dismissal.
