On July 26,

1983 the Board issued a draft proposal

to codify Chapter

2:

Air Pollution as

35 Ill. Adm. Code,

Subtitle B, Chapter

I.

The Board proposed to follow the

procedures for codification without substantive change, and

solicited comments on a public draft.

On September

8,

1983

the Board agreed to accept late comments,

after receiving a

letter from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency

(Agency)

requesting an extension.

The Board received comments

only from the Agency.

The Board has modified the draft in

response to the comments and pursuant to a review by the

Board staff.

The Board directs that the modified text be

submitted to the Secretary of State

for codification approval,

and for filing if accepted.

A copy of the text to be filed

will be placed in the file and made available to the public,

but will not appear in the Opinion volumes.
