ILLINOIS POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD
    August 18,
    1983
    IN THE MATTER OF:
    )
    RULEMAKING FOR CODIFICATION OF
    )
    R81~7
    CHAPTER
    7:
    SOLID
    WASTE
    )
    ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by J.D.
    Dumelle):
The Board hereby adopts revisions to Chapter 7:
    Solid Waste
to conform with the codification regulations adopted by the
    Secretary of State (I11~Rev.
    Stat.
    ch.
    127, S1007 and
    1 Ill,
Adm. Code Part 120, as amended).
    The Board~srules are required
to be codified by October 1,
    1983.
The Board has determined that these rules should be placed
    in 35
    Ill.
    Adm. Code 807.
    The formal
    reference to the rules will
    be Title 35:
    Environmental Protection; Subtitle
    H:
    Solid Waste
and Special Waste Handling; Chapter 1:
    Pollution Control Board;
    Part 807:
    Solid Waste.
    By
    so placing the rules,
    the rule
    numbering
    of
    Chapter
    7
    can be retained for ease
    of
    reference.
That is, old rule 101 of Chapter
    7
    will become Section 101 of
    Part 807
    (35
    Ill.
    Ad.
Code 807.101) and old rule 302 of Chapter
    7
will become Section 302 of Part 807
    (35
    Ill. Mm, Code 807.302):
    The units digit
    of
the citation reflects the old chapter number
    and the digits to the
    right
of the decimal point reflect the old
    rule number.
    Further,
by using this method the Board is able to retain
    the rules nearly intact,
There has been no rearrangement of rules,
nor have any rules been broken up or combined, thus minimizing
the possibility of any inadvertent changes to the
    rules.
    All
that has been changed are the rule
    numbers and the references
    to those rules.
    For example,
    where the old
    rules
    referred to
“this Chapter,” the reference was changed to “this Part”.
    Since these changes
    are so minor,
    little is to be
    gained by
    printing the
rules in this Order, and the Board will
    not do
    so.
    This is particularly true
in that the rules are intended to be
changed with the next year or two
in order to integrate them with
the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act rules
    in 35
    Ills Adm.
    Code, Subtitle
    G.
Notice of codification of these rules
    will
    be
    given
    in
    the
Environmental Register and copies of them will be made available
to the public upon certification by the Secretary of State.
