    ORDER OF THE BOARD (by E.Z. Kezelis):
    On May 19, 1999, BEMA Film Systems, Inc. (BEMA) filed a petition for variance
    regarding its printing facility located in Elmhurst, DuPage County, Illinois. BEMA operates a
    business in which it prints images on polyethylene film that is used as packaging material for
    food products, pet supplies, grass seed, bird seed, and other consumer products. BEMA seeks
    a variance from Section 218.401 of the Board’s Air Pollution Regulations. See 35 Ill. Adm.
    Code 218.401. The Board accepts this matter for hearing.
    Hearings shall be scheduled and completed in a timely manner pursuant to the
    applicable statutory decision deadline or as extended by waiver. The assigned hearing officer
    shall inform the Clerk of the Board of the time and location of hearing at least 40 days in
    advance of hearing so that a 30-day public notice of hearing may be published. Unless
    otherwise ordered by the hearing officer, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency shall
    file its recommendation for disposition of the petition within 30 days of the filing of this
    petition. See 35 Ill. Adm. Code 104.180.
