May
31, 1984
the Village of Odin filed a Petition
for
Variance
from
existing Board regulations for water pollution
as applied
to
the
petitioner~ssewage treatment plant.
This
petition is
deficient in
that it fails to provide information
on the following,
as
required by 35 Ill.
Adm, Code 104.121:
1.
A
statement identifying
the specific Board regulations
from which
variance is sought and ~e
time period,
in calender
dates,
for which this relief is requested.
2.
A statement describing
petitioner’s
sewage treatment
system that includes
information as to capacity,
design,
size of the
system, location, and nature
of
material treated.
3,
Any available
information or data about the nature
of
the untreated material that will
be stored in
the
temporary lagoon during
cleaning operations, the
location
of the temporary lagoon
and identification of
the
receiving waters if discharge
from the lagoon occurs,
4.
Any available estimates of
the potential
environmental
impact that a discharge
from
the storage lagoons
will impose on human, plant,
and animal life
in the
affected area.
Factual
supporting information
should
be included to the extent
available.
5.
Any available information
about the disposition
or
treatment of the lagoon
stored
material and the
petitioner’s plans for restoration
of the temporary
lagoon site after cleaning
and
maintenance has
been
completed.

Any available information about the petitioner’s
plans to minimize the environmental impact of
a
possible discharge from the storage
lagoon.
7.
An
affidavit by the petitioner that must accompany a
waiver of hearing as required by 35 Ill. Adm. Code
104. 124.
Unless an amended petition is filed within 45 days curing
the above noted defects, this matter will be subject to dismissal.
