ORDER OF THE BOARD (by R. C. Flemal):

This matter comes before the Board on an August 30, 1985

motion to consolidate filed by DuPage Publications Co.

(“DuPage”). DuPage requests that the Board consolidate this case

with three other cases currently before the Board which involve

DuPage (PCB 85—44, PCB 85—45, and PCB 85—70), consolidated by

Orders of the Board on May 16, 1985, and June 27, 1985.

The motion to consolidate is hereby granted. However, the

Board notes that this is the third consolidation of proceedings

related to DuPage, all of which address matters of a similar

nature. In the interest of seeing these proceedings to a timely

resolution, the Board will discourage motions for any additional

consolidations that may serve to delay resolution of these four

permit appeals.

The Board further notes that Petitioner, by letter from its

attorneys dated September 13, 1985, extended the decision date on

PCB 85—44, PCB 85—45, and PCB 85—70, as consolidated, to January

20, 1985 (sic). The Board interprets this letter as Petitioner’s

intent to extend the due date to January 20, 1986. As this

reflects on the additional consolidation of PCB 85—130, the Board

further interprets January 20, 1986, as the common due date for

all four of the consolidated proceedings.
