is discussing
this proceeding and
intends
to take
action on the matter this year.
The proceeding was
tiled
in
1977
and
the proposal
amended several times.
The hearing record,
which consists
of over
50 volumes, was compiled between 1977
and
March
of
1983.
The Board authorizes the Hearing Officer
to open the record
in this proceeding
and hold
a hearing
to update information
in
the
record and
to receive any new information that
the
participants believe
is critical
to reaching an
informed
decision.
The hearing officer
shall
set a hearing schedule
to
accomplish
this end.
The Board emphasizes
that
it
is
interested
in new and
updated information
only.
No public good will
be served by
repeating
large portions of the existing record.
