    ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by R.
    C.
    Flernal):
    This matter comes before
    the Board upon
    a June 10, 1986
    filing by Matthew 3.
    Stahl.
    That filing consists
    of
    a cover
    letter
and the remedial plan of Eastwood Manor Water Company
    (“EMCO”) submitted pursuant
    to the Board’s March 14, 1986 Order
    in this Inatter*.
    Mr. Stahl notes
    in the cover
    letter that he is
unsure of the date by which EMCO
is to pay the penalty imposed on
the company by the Board in its March 14 Order.
The Board addressed the question of when the penalty
    is due
    in Condition
9 of the March 14 Order.
    The Board stated
    ~Ki
    ~taE~ã in
    its March 14, 1986 Order,
    the Board retained
    jurisdiction
    in this case in order
    to,
    inter alia, evaluate the
remedial plan formulated by the Respondents.
    71-6

    —2—
    9.
Within 60 days of the date of
    this Order,
    the
Eastwood Manor Water Company shall, by
    certified check
or money order, pay a civil
    penalty of $1,000 payable
    to the State of
Illinois and designated for deposit into the
    Environmental Protection Trust Fund.
    Such
    payment shall
    be sent to:
    Illinois Environmental Protection Agency
    Fiscal Services Division
    2200 Churchill Road
    Springfield, IL
    62706
The Board intended the 60 day deadline
    to relate
    to the
    March
    14 Order,
    and not
to the final Opinion and Order
    in this
    matter that has yet
    to issue.
    Thus, payment of the $1,000
penalty was actually due by May 13,
    and
    is now almost two months
    late.
Payment of the penalty should therefore now be made no
    latter than August
    4, 1986.
    IT
    IS SO ORDERED.

    Dorothy M.
