    ORDER OF THE BOARD (by J.D. Dumelle):
    On May 28, 1987, Bear Hybrid Corn Co., Inc. filed a petition
    for variance to operate four incinerators at its Decatur and
    Wapella facilities. This petition is deficient in that it fails
    to include adequate information on a compliance plan during the
    period of the requested variance. Additional information on this
    compliance plan is necessary for the Board to adequately evaluate
    the petitioner’s request for variance. Technology such as
    overfire air or secondary combustion chambers should be
    evaluated, as should the feasibility of composting the waste into
    a soil conditioner.
    Unless an amended petition for variance is filed within 45
    days curing this defect, this matter will be subject to
    dismissal.
