    the Lake County Public Works Department,
    Wildwood Subdivision Water Supply System filed
    a Petition for
    Variance, seeking relief from regulations on restricted status
    and standards
    for permit issuance as those regulations pertain
    to
    limitations
    or-i combined Radium—226
    and 228.
    That petition
    is
    deficient
    in that:
    1)
    It fails
    to provide
    the sampling and
    analysis data required by paragraph
    3
    of
    the August
    14,
    1986, variance Order
    in
    PCB 86—75,
    particularly the sampling and
    pumping
    rates required by subparagraph
    (b);
    and
    2)
    It fails to address whether
    it
    is fea-
    sible to remove Well No.
    2 from service
    and whether this would reduce contamina-
    tion levels
    in the distribution system.
    Unless an amended petition
    is filed within
    45
    days
    of the
    date of this Order,
    curing the above—noted defect, this matter
    will
    be subject
    to dismissal.
