ORDER OF THE BOARD (by

By its Opinion and Order of November 19, 1987, the Board

remanded this action to the Winnebago County Board for further

proceedings as detailed in that Opinion and Order. On March 14,

1988 the Board received a letter from the County seeking return

to it of the record it submitted to the Board, including hearing

transcripts, its public comment file, and all exhibits (including

several mounted, oversize maps and charts).

The Board does not return materials submitted to it in the

ordinary course of business, as the Act requires the Board to

maintain copies of its records for public inspection. However,

in the interests of governmental economy, in this case the Board

will authorize release of the County record to facilitate

compliance with the remand instructions, noting that duplication

of the oversize exhibits would be particularly costly.

The Clerk is directed to release a copy of the County record

to the County, and to place a qopy of this Order in the Board’s

files in lieu of any documents for which there are no existing

copies.
