the McHenry County State’s Attorney
petitioned the Board
for leave to file an amicus brief
on behalf
of the People
of McHenry County.
Specifically, leave is sought
to file
a brief
“in support
of the merits of the McHenry County
Board’s decision solely with respect
to criteria

with
the
understanding
that the brief will be due on April
8,
1988 as set
forth
in the Hearing Officer’s Order
of March
18,
1988.”
The Board notes
that,
by Order of March 10,
1988,
it has
given the Villages
of Lake
In The Hills and Algonquin leave to
file amicus briefs.
For the reasons stated
in that Order,
the
Board will similarly grant leave
to the People of McHenry County,
subject to the limitations expressed
in the preceding paragraph.
